Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron
are returning for the 86th Academy Awards in 2014, however they’ll be doing so without 2013’s host. Seth MacFarlane has put an end to the rumors and speculation about his return to the Oscar hosting gig
by taking to Twitter to confirm he won’t be back.
“Traumatized critics exhale: I’m unable to do the Oscars again. Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep. However, I highly–>”
“–> recommend the job, as Zadan and Meron are two of the most talented producers in the business. My suggestion for host is Joaquin Phoenix.” – @SethMacFarlane
That suggestion prompted a couple of his Twitter followers to offer their own suggestions, including Amanda Bynes, Stewie, and Lindsay Lohan. @moooooog35 suggested Lohan co-host with Phoenix, saying the tagline could be: “The Oscars have never been more emotionally unstable.”
