Mindless Self Indulgence Concert Recap by Richard Chavez
Mindless Self Indulgence ended their tour at the famous House of Blues Sunset in Hollywood, CA, and I was very lucky and honored to cover such an amazing show that included opening acts Death Valley High and Chantel Claret, Jimmy Urine’s beautiful wife’s solo project. The band decided they were going to do something different for this tour, with each band member picking a song from their huge catalog of music – making this tour unique and something I wish other bands would do.
Their choices were interesting, with Steve choosing “Backmask,” Jimmy choosing “Clarrisa,” Kitty choosing “Capitol P,” and Lyn-Z selecting “Cocaine and Toupees.” The fans, who wildly embraced their choices, were allowed to choose the final song of the night out of three songs: “I Hate Jimmy Page,” “Bitches,” and “Straight To Video.” Their choice: “Bitches.”
