20th Century Fox is celebrating Alien Day (April 26th) with the release of a two-minute short film titled Alien: Covenant Prologue: The Crossing. The short film shows what crew members Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and the synthetic David (Michael Fassbender) were doing following the events that took place in Prometheus. The Crossing takes place onboard the abandoned Engineer ship and features Dr. Shaw repairing David “as they continue their search for humanity’s creators.”

Directed by Ridley Scott, Alien: Covenant stars Fassbender, Rapace, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby. Fox is releasing the sci-fi thriller in theaters on May 19, 2017.

The Plot: The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
