Michael Mann co-wrote and directed Blackhat, an action thriller about hackers and starring Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth, which Universal/Legendary Pictures will be sending out into theaters on January 16, 2015. That’s not exactly a prime release date as January’s usually a toss-away month, but the team of Mann and Hemsworth might be enough for Blackhat to avoid crashing and burning at the box office. The cast also includes Viola Davis, Tang Wei, and Wang Leehom.
The Plot:
Set within the world of global cybercrime, Legendary’s Blackhat follows a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners as they hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.
