The New ‘Gone Girl’ Trailer Focuses on Who’s to Blame

When a husband or wife goes missing, the first person the police investigate is the spouse. And in the new trailer for the upcoming thriller Gone Girl, the spouse on the hot seat is played by Ben Affleck while the spouse who’s presumed dead is played by Rosamund Pike. Based on the bestselling, award-winning book by Gillian Flynn (who also handled the screenplay) and directed by David Fincher, Gone Girl also features Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Carrie Coon, and David Clennon.

20th Century Fox is releasing Gone Girl on October 3, 3014.

Plot:

Gone Girl unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
