It’s only 90 seconds long but that doesn’t matter as Marvel fans are happily embracing the short video for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The first video sneak peek finds Star-Lord missing Gamora while Drax does his best to comfort his buddy, even if his buddy doesn’t truly appreciate his efforts. Directed by Guardians of the Galaxy’s James Gunn, the 2017 sequel reunites Chris Pratt as Pete Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Michael Rooker as Yondu, and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Guardians of the Galaxy will open in theaters on May 5, 2017.
The release of the video came just a few hours after director James Gunn unveiled the film’s poster. Gunn took to Twitter to confirm this isn’t a teaser trailer but instead should be considered a ‘sneak peek’ at the sequel.
