‘Star Wars Episode VII’ Unveils a Starfighter as Part of Its Charity Push

Director J.J. Abrams stands in front of an X-wing Starfighter on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII to promote Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Force for Change’s first fundraising program that’s raising funds to help children in need via UNICEF’s Innovation Labs. Abrams is inviting Star Wars fans to help in the fundraising campaign with a pledge of $10 or more. That pledge will enter you in a drawing for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“We are so grateful for the support that the fans from over 119 countries have shown for Force for Change,” said Abrams. “As we close this final week, we’ve added an additional prize that allows the fans the opportunity to see the movie early as a thank you for supporting such a great cause as UNICEF’s innovative, lifesaving work for children.”

Here are the details on Star Wars: Force Change’s Fundraising Campaign:

The campaign runs from 12:01am PST on May 21st until 11:59pm PST July 18th.
