Spotlight On: That’s My Boy TrailerSome people still find Adam Sandler funny, although judging by the box office take of Jack & Jill not as many people are buying into his brand of comedy now as did back in the late ’90s and early 2000s. But – and I say this based solely on the reaction to the trailer by Sandler fans – his new film That’s My Boy actually looks like it could be fairly funny. Heading to theaters on June 15th, That’s My Boy finds Sandler playing Andy Samberg’s dad.
While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd’s 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd’s world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills.
