How can you tell To The Wonder is a Terrence Malick film? Because one of the first scenes in the trailer is a shot looking up through the leaves in a tree toward the sky. Although the shot itself isn’t funny, I always find the fact that shot is featured in trailers for Malick’s films worthy of a chuckle.
Besides the leafy tree shot, the new trailer features Oscar winner Ben Affleck (in romantic leading man mode), Olga Kurylenko, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and buffalo.
