Jennifer Nettles will be joined on stage by a lineup of Country superstars during the 2016 CMA Country Christmas special. ABC just announced the roster of performers for the holiday event will include Idina Menzel, Chris Young, Kelly Clarkson, Joey Alexander, Kelsea Ballerini, Andra Day, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Sarah McLachlan, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Jordan Smith, and Trisha Yearwood.
Nettles, who released her first holiday album on October 28th, will not only host for the seventh year but will also perform on the music-driven television special taping on November 8, 2016 at the Grand Ole Opry House. ABC will air this year’s CMA Country Christmas on November 28th at 8pm ET/PT.
In addition to enjoying a night of Country music and holiday hits, the CMA Country Christmas audience is asked to bring an unwrapped toy to help out kids in need in Tennessee. According to ABC, more than 5,000 gifts were collected by the CMA for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program last year.
Paul Miller is directing this year’s special and Robert Deaton is executive producing.
