In what’s become far too common, a leaked version of a single – in this case Katy Perry’s “Roar” – made its way onto the internet prior to the song’s official release. The unofficial release prompted Perry to move up the official debut date from August 12, 2013 to today, releasing “Roar” to her fans ahead of schedule. “Roar” is the first single from her upcoming album Prism which is set to drop on October 22, 2013.
The first single’s now available for your listening pleasure, and Perry will take to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on to perform it live for the first time on August 25th. The single will be available on iTunes on its originally scheduled release date of August 12 at 12am.
