Megadeth just released the video for their new single “Post American World” and announced the confirmed dates for the North American leg of their Dystopia World Tour. The North American leg will kick off on September 20, 2016 in Casper, Wyoming and will hit cities including Seattle, Chicago, and Detroit before finishing up on October 16th in Camden, New Jersey. Also set to join Megadeth during the North American leg are Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok. Tickets for the fall tour will go on sale to the public beginning July 22nd.
The “Post American World” video was directed by Jake Macpherson and commenting on it, Dave Mustaine said, “The filming of Post American World was an eerie video shoot right from the beginning. Shot in just one day with only our guitars and drums, I knew that this was going to be amazing. There is something to be said about the simplicity of an artist and only his guitar or drums. This is clearly a ‘less is more’ concept and director Jake Macpherson nailed it!”
Megadeth’s latest album, Dystopia, debuted in the number three spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart and hit the top spot on Billboard’s Hard Music and Top Rock charts.
