Spotlight On: Home Music Video by Phillip Phillips
American Idol winner Phillip Phillips has seen his AI song “Home” get a big bump on the charts thanks to its use during the 2012 London Olympics. The single’s already made it to ‘gold’ status, and Phillips’ fan base continues to grow as audiences who didn’t tune in to American Idol google “Home” after hearing it during the gymnastics competition.
Capitalizing on the song’s current popularity, the “Home” music video was released on August 2nd showing Phillips on the road during the American Idol tour. And in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, “Home” director Joseph Toman explained what they were hoping to capture with this music video. “When I met Phillip, we vibed about making something that was genuine,” said Toman. “This was really the main inspiration for the piece: make something that felt real and show people who Phillip really is.”
