Actress/singer/songwriter Tamar Braxton’s debut single as a solo artist – “Love & War” – has hit the #1 spot on the Urban Adult Contemporary chart. The single, which Braxton co-wrote with Makeba Riddick and LaShawn Daniels, also went to #1 on iTunes right after its release and the video has earned 4+ million views on YouTube.
Braxton (Braxton Family Values, Tamar & Vince) will be releasing her debut album this summer.
“‘Love and War’ is the first record where the music has truly reflected who I am,” said Braxton. “One night in the studio, everything clicked. I found the sound I’d been looking for within myself for years and the vocals just poured out of me.”
