Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, Selena Gomez to Perform on 2013 Billboard Awards Show

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards list of performers has expanded by six. It’s just been revealed that Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Kacey Musgraves have committed to performing on the show set for Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Las Vegas. The new group joins previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Prince and Justin Bieber.
 
The awards show will be airing live on ABC at 8pm.
 
In addition to performing, Prince has been tapped to receive this year’s Billboard Icon Award. Prince was chosen for his “unique journey and history of groundbreaking accomplishments in music.”
 
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards finalists were chosen based on “key fan interactions with music, including album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, touring, streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, VEVO, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.”
