OneRepublic, Carrie Underwood, and Ellie Goulding have made the cut and will be competing for the Milestone Award to be presented at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. The awards will take place on May 18th at MGM Grand in Vegas and will air on ABC at 8pm ET/PT, and fans can now cast their votes for the winners at Billboard.com/milestone.
According to Billboard, the Milestone award is presented to an “innovative artist who achieved a notable chart milestone in the past year.”
“The Milestone Award presented by Chevrolet is a 100% fan voted category putting the final selection process in the hands of the music fans themselves,” said Larry Klein, producer of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. “Carrie Underwood, Ellie Goulding and OneRepublic have made a tremendous impact on music over the past year making it an exciting race completely determined by the fans voting right up through the first two hours of the live broadcast.”
