One day prior to Alone‘s season three premiere, History has decided to renew the survival series for a fourth season. Season three will debut on December 8, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT with 10 survivalists having to fend for themselves and try to stay alive in an isolated region of Patagonia, Argentina. Announcing the renewal, History’s Executive Vice President and Head of Programming Paul Cabana said, “Since season one, we knew we had a groundbreaking show. Raw, authentic and entertaining, there truly is nothing else like it on television.”

“In season three, viewers will experience how our survivalists endure the challenges faced in a new, remote location at the bottom of the globe. In season four we are elevating the show to even greater heights and hope the evolution of the series will continue to captivate viewers and keep them on their toes,” added Cabana.

David George, Shawn Witt, Zachary Green, Ryan Pender, Zachary Behr, and Russ McCarroll are executive producing.

The Plot: In Alone, there are no camera crews and no gimmicks. Equipped only with limited gear, their wilderness experience and cameras to self-document their journeys, these brave men and women are left alone to completely fend for themselves in harsh, unforgiving terrain. To survive, they must find food and water, build shelters and fend off predators. They will face bouts of extreme isolation, psychological distress, and treacherous environmental conditions as they descend into the unknown.
