The list of performers set to help ring in the new year as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014 has grown by one, with Billy Joel now committed to be a part of the show. Joel will perform live from Barclay’s Center and will have the honor of playing one of his classic songs as the first new song of 2014 on the show.
Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy (The View) will be co-hosting the New Year’s Eve special on the east coast and the Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie will handle hosting duties on the west coast.
Among the performers who’ll be helping millions celebrate are Blondie, Capital Cities, Miley Cyrus, Daughtry, Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Icona Pop, Enrique Iglesias, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke, and The Fray.
