Boz Scaggs scored one of his best chart debuts with the release of Memphis on March 5, 2013. Memphis entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #17, marking the Grammy Award-winning rocker’s best debut since Silk Degrees.
Memphis includes new tunes and covers and was produced by Steve Jordan. Jordan also contributed to the album as the drummer, joining Scaggs, Willie Weeks (bass), Ray Parker Jr. (guitars), Spooner Oldham (keyboards), the Memphis Horns, and Lester Snell (string arrangements) for Scaggs’ first album in five years. And in addition to the album, Scaggs will be entertaining his fans on a national tour kicking off on May 14th.
