Cheap Thrills Will Get a Theatrical Release

Poster for Cheap ThrillsCheap Thrills just had its world premiere during the Midnight section at the 2013 South by Southwest Film Festival and Drafthouse Films announced it’s picked up the dark comedy thriller for US distribution. E.L. Katz directed the film which stars Pat Healy, David Koechner, Sara Paxton, and Ethan Embry, with Drafthouse planning a limited theatrical release as well as a release via video on demand.

The Plot:
 
The directorial debut from Katz stars Pat Healy as a recently fired father facing eviction who agrees to take on an escalating series of insane challenges in exchange for cash payments from a rich couple with a twisted sense of humor.
