Showtime’s critically acclaimed comedy series Episodes has been renewed for a fourth season. The network’s President of Entertainment David Nevins made it official, announcing the return of the series starring Emmy nominee Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan, and Tamsin Greig.

Filming’s expected to take place in 2014 on the nine-episode fourth season.

Episodes was created by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik.

The Plot: Episodes stars Matt LeBlanc as a fictionalized version of himself. Season three – premiering Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 10:30pm ET/PT – picks up with Sean (Mangan) and Beverly (Greig), the English couple whose hit U.K. sitcom is remade for U.S. audiences and corrupted beyond recognition, back together but they soon discover that it’s not so easy to heal old wounds. Things get no easier for Matt this year as his career and ego continue to be pummeled.

New guest stars include Chris Diamantopoulos (24) in a season-long arc; Roger Bart (Revenge) appears in four episodes as LeBlanc’s agent; along with Tracy Spiridakos (Revolution) as a family member of actress Morning Randolph (Mircea Monroe).
