Not only will Spike TV’s Ink Master be back for a fifth season, it’ll also get an expanded order of 16 one-hour episodes. Dave Navarro hosts the popular series, and tattoo artists Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck judge the contestants. At stake is a $100,000 cash prize as well as the coveted title of “Ink Master.”

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Original Media, the immensely creative and innovative team who produces Ink Master, the defining series of tattoo culture,” said Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike TV. “The ever-increasing ratings for the series is a testament to the huge stakes and drama in each episode with the incredibly-talented and knowledgeable hosts including Dave Navarro, Chris Nunez, and Oliver Peck.”

Season four has been averaging 1.72 million viewers and is, according to Spike TV, the most “gender-balanced original hit series” on the network.

Season five will arrive this fall.
