‘Jack Ryan’ Series Starring John Krasinski Moving Forward at Amazon

John Krasinski’s joining a line of actors that includes Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine in taking on the role of Jack Ryan. Amazon has greenlit Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, an action drama starring Krasinski and executive produced by Carlton Cuse, Graham Roland, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, Mace Neufeld and Lindsey Springer. The series, which will be available to Amazon Prime Video subscribers, is produced by Paramount TV and Skydance and will be shooting in the U.S., Europe, and Africa.

Season one will consist of 10 one-hour episodes.

The Plot: Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan follows an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. Set to executive produce are Carlton Cuse (The Strain, Bates Motel) and Graham Roland (Almost Human), who wrote the pilot based on a story he and Cuse developed. The series follows Ryan (Krasinski) as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
