Marvel’s confirmed Jamie Chung has been cast to star in Bryan Singer’s untitled Marvel series on Fox. According to the official announcement, Chung will play “Clarice Fong, better known as Blink, a sarcastic and lively tomboy. Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home,’ Clarice is slowly becoming herself again. Blink is an established character from the X-Men comics with the power of teleportation.”

Blair Redford has already committed to a series regular role as Sam, the strong-headed mutant leader of an underground network. The action adventure series produced by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Television doesn’t have a title or a premiere date, but it does have Bryan Singer on board to direct the pilot from a script by Matt Nix. Nix, Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, and Jim Chory are executive producing.

Jamie Chung credits include a guest starring role as Valerie Vale in Gotham and as Mulan on Once Upon a Time. She also starred in Office Christmas Party, Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong, Believe, Resident Advisors, The Hangover Part II and III, Grown Ups, Premium Rush, The Man with the Iron Fists, and Sucker Punch.

The Plot: The Untitled FOX Marvel Project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
