Actress/dancer Jenna Dewan Tatum (Step Up) will be taking the stage on the season finale of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Dewan Tatum, who guest judged on the dance competition series in previous seasons, will join Team Stage’s captain Travis Wall to perform on the September 14, 2015 episode airing at 8pm ET/PT on Fox. Season 12’s finale will be expanded to two hours with the top dancer from either the stage or street team named America’s Favorite Dancer at the end of the broadcast.
The season 12 finale will also feature a group performance by the top 20 dancers. The top 10 dancers will be dancing with the 10 all-stars, and some of the best/favorite numbers from this season will be performed again. In addition, the finale will find American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Herman Cornejo, Hip-Hop Dance group Academy of Villains and All-Star Cyrus Spencer, who will perform with 10-year-old Hip-Hop Dance Prodigy Phoenix Lil’Mini, all confirmed to perform.
This season’s judging panel has been made up of Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul, and Jason Derulo who have advised the talented group from the audition process to Vegas try-outs and finally onto the SYTYCD stage in Los Angeles. Although the season will end on September 14th, the 10 best dancers will continue to work together on the road as part of the nationwide tour kicking off on October 13, 2015 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
