Masterchef Junior will return for a second season as just announced by Fox Broadcasting Company Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly. Season one of the cooking competition show was incredibly entertaining, featuring kids who knew more about cooking than most adults will ever understand. The Masterchef trio of chefs Gordon Ramsey, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot guided the young cooks through the season and seemed genuinely surprised by the quality of the cooking. The audience also got into watching kids ages eight through 13 show off their skills, with season one averaging 5.1 million viewers.
Masterchef Junior is one of the few shows on television that the entire family can truly enjoy together, and I can’t wait to see what Gordon, Joe, Graham and the next round of rambunctious, ridiculously talented junior chefs cook up in Season Two,” said Reilly.
Open casting calls for Masterchef Junior season two will kick off on January 18, 2014 in New York City.
