Details have arrived on the May episodes of season four of HBO’s critically acclaimed half-hour comedy series, Silicon Valley. Season four kicked off on April 23, 2017 with an episode that found Richard breaking away from the group to work on his project. Created by Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky, Silicon Valley stars Thomas Middleditch as Richard Hendricks, T.J. Miller as Erlich, Zach Woods as Jared, Kumail Nanjiani as Dinesh, Martin Starr as Gilfoyle, Josh Brener as Big Head, Amanda Crew as Monica, Matt Ross as Gavin Belson, Jimmy O. Yang as Jian-Yang, and Suzanne Cryer as Laurie Bream.

The Season 4 Plot: Change is in the air as the Pied Piper guys pursue their video-chat app, PiperChat, but Richard has a hard time letting go of his dream to put his algorithm to better use. Dinesh flirts with notoriety, while Gilfoyle looks on in amusement. Erlich searches for his next big break. Jared attempts to pivot with the company. And Big Head enters the world of academia.

Meanwhile, over at Hooli, Gavin finds himself threatened by Jack Barker, while Monica struggles to bounce back at Raviga after her fallout with Laurie. Sharp and irreverent, Silicon Valley continues to lambast the self-important world of tech in a season that finds the Pied Piper team looking to leave their mark, even as they continue to fumble along the road to success.

An overtired Richard (Thomas Middleditch) pushes himself to the brink of sanity while trying to move ahead with his next big idea. Eyeing a comeback, Erlich (T.J. Miller) pressures an uncooperative Jian-Yang (Jimmy O. Yang). Monica (Amanda Crew) sets a trap at Raviga to improve her standing with Laurie (Suzanne Cryer). Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) goes on a date; Big Head (Josh Brener) enters the world of academia; Gavin (Matt Ross) faces an unknown future.

Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) gets tough on security in the wake of Dinesh’s (Kumail Nanjiani) latest dalliance; later, he considers whether to put his pride aside for a job. Concerned about Jian-Yang’s (Jimmy O. Yang) commitment to his app, Erlich (T.J. Miller) takes matters into his own hands.

As things get more serious, Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) scrambles to find a way out of his new relationship. After learning of surprising developments afoot at Raviga, Monica (Amanda Crew) has trouble deciding which horse to back.

On the hunt for financial support, Richard (Thomas Middleditch) looks outside the tech bubble, and crosses paths with a contentious figure from Pied Piper’s past. Erlich (T.J. Miller) reaches out to Monica (Amanda Crew) and Laurie (Suzanne Cryer) in search of a new endeavor. A launch gone wrong finds Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) and Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) at war as Jared (Zach Woods) tries to keep the peace.
