Raven-Symoné and Disney Channel are revisiting the world of That’s So Raven with a spin-off series that will follow a grown-up Raven Baxter who’s now a divorced mom with two kids. Raven will star in and executive produce the spin-off which doesn’t have a title but does have Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff on board as writers and producers.

The original That’s So Raven was Disney Channel’s first multi-camera show and the show’s still drawing in viewers during midnight telecasts. The network says an average of 1.057 million are tuning into the show which debuted in January 2003. That’s So Raven aired 100 episodes before finishing its award-winning run in 2006. Per the Disney Channel, That’s So Raven marked the first time an African-American woman had her name in the title of a comedy series.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family,” said Adam Bonnett, executive vice president, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide.

The Plot: As the pilot story goes, Raven is now a divorced mother to two pre-teen kids (a son and daughter), one of whom has inherited her ability to catch glimpses of the future.
