New Line Cinema, MGM, Tourism New Zealand, and Air New Zealand are teaming up on The Hobbit Fan Fellowship Contest, offering up a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New Zealand to check out Middle-earth. One lucky fan will travel to New Zealand, visit filming locations including the home of Bilbo Baggins and a private tour of the 12 acre Hobbiton site, and attend a private screening of the final Hobbit film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
The contest is open now at http://www.thehobbitfancontest.com. Different rules apply in different countries, so please check out the official rules and regulations before entering. For U.S. fans, the contest runs August 25, 2014 at 10am PT through September 22, 2014 at 11:59:59pm PT.

Created with Tourism New Zealand in association with Air New Zealand, the official airline of Middle-earth, the contest was launched at http://www.thehobbitfancontest.com/us/ with the first in a series of challenges, entitled ‘Postcard to Peter,’ inviting Hobbit fans to choose from six New Zealand postcard images and upload a message to Peter Jackson telling him what a trip to New Zealand would mean to them.
The contest is comprised of a series of four challenges and the lucky winners will then be invited to bring a friend or family member along with them on their ultimate fan adventure to New Zealand. Since it was first announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego on July 27, 2014, upwards of 25,000 people have already registered their interest to participate.
