HBO officially announced The Leftovers‘ third season will be its last. Season two finished up on December 6, 2015 and season three is expected to air in 2016. Created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, The Leftovers season two starred Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Margaret Qualley, Chris Zylka, Regina King, Kevin Carroll, Jovan Adepo and Janel Moloney.
Showrunner Lindelof, Perrotta, Mimi Leder, Tom Spezialy, Peter Berg and Sarah Aubrey executive produce.
