‘The Vampire Diaries’ Series Finale Details: Welcome Back, Elena

The CW’s released a very brief plot description for the series finale of The Vampire Diaries. In addition, the network announced the show will end on March 10, 2017 with the airing of two one-hour The Vampire Diaries shows. First up, The Vampire Diaries: Forever Yours special will air at 8pm ET/PT and will feature interviews with the cast and crew. Season eight episode 16 (the series finale) titled ‘I Was Feeling Epic’ will follow at 9pm ET/PT.


The season eight cast includes Paul Wesley as Stefan, Ian Somerhalder as Damon, Kat Graham as Bonnie, Michael Malarkey as Enzo, Candice King as Caroline, Matt Davis as Alaric, and Zach Roerig as Matt. Nina Dobrev returns as Elena for the series finale.

The Vampire Diaries: Forever Yours Details: IT’S BEEN EPIC – After eight amazing seasons, The Vampire Diaries is coming to a dramatic and epic end. This one-hour retrospective features interviews with past and present cast members and guest stars, a conversation with the executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, behind-the-scenes footage from the final season and special moments from the past eight years.

The ‘I Was Feeling Epic’ Plot: OLD FRIENDS – With the fate of Mystic Falls at stake, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) must fight their greatest enemy for one last battle. Julie Plec directed and co-wrote the episode with Kevin Williamson.
