Spike TV Expands the Cast of ‘Tut’

The Tut Cast Expands by Six

The cast of Spike TV’s event series Tut has expanded by six. Joining Avan Jogia (who’ll be playing the lead role) and Sir Ben Kingsley will be Game of Thrones‘ Nonso Anozie, Tyrant‘s Sibylla Deen, Twisted‘s Kylie Bunbury, Da Vinci’s Demons‘ Alexander Siddig, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland‘s Peter Gadiot, and Salem‘s Iddo Goldberg.

Filming is expected to begin this fall in Morocco on the scripted series, which is set to air in 2015.

Sharon Levy, Joel S. Rice, Michael Prupas, Greg Gugliotta, Michael Vickerman, Jeremy Elice, Angela Mancuso, and David Von Ancken are on board as executive producers. Von Ancken is directing from a script by Michael Vickerman, Peter Paige & Bradley Bredeweg.

The New Cast Members:

– Nonso Anozie will play the savvy military, yet power-hungry, strategist General Horemheb.

– Sibylla Deen plays Ankhe, the calculating and conniving sister-wife of King Tutankhamun.

– Kylie Bunbury portrays Suhad, the beautiful and endearing girl of Mitanni descent who develops a strong bond with the young Egyptian king, despite the fact she is not of royal bloodlines.

– Alexander Siddig is a highly accomplished stage and screen actor who plays High Priest Amun, a major political figure who holds great influence in King Tutankhamun’s inner sanctum.

– Peter Gadiot plays Ka, King Tutankhamun’s close confidant and seemingly loyal friend from childhood who harbors a secret love for Ankhe, Tut’s wife.

– Iddo Goldberg plays Lagus, an Egyptian soldier who develops a special bond with King Tutankhamun.
