What You Need to Know:
On the wedding day of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), The Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) arrives to give a “gift” to the happy couple…to destroy their happiness. Some gift, right? When Snow White becomes pregnant with her first child, she is worried about the curse the Evil Queen has bestowed upon them. She seeks out Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) who tells her the Evil Queen’s curse will take them all someplace terrible where there will be no happy endings. He also reveals that Snow White’s unborn daughter, Emma, will return when she is 28 years old to rescue them, thus beginning the final battle with the Queen.
On advice from a blue fairy, Snow White and Prince Charming decide to use a magical tree, which will allow one person to escape the Evil Queen’s curse. But before Snow White can escape, she goes into labor. On that very same day, the Evil Queen’s curse strikes. Prince Charming places his daughter in the magic tree, but is gravely wounded battling the Evil Queen’s henchmen.
In present day Boston, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) lives a lonely life as a bail bonds collector. On her 28th birthday, the son Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) she gave up 10 years ago shows up on her door step in desperate need of her help. Emma agrees to give Henry a ride home back to Storybrooke and during the ride, Henry shows Emma his book of fairy tales and reveals he believes them to be true. He believes everyone in his town is a character from the book and is frozen in time and that only Emma can break the curse. Of course Emma doesn’t believe Henry, but she finds herself drawn to him and this strange town.
Emma returns Henry to his adoptive mother (the Evil Queen), who happens to be the mayor of Storybrooke, and decides to stick around to help him out.
So begins the battle of two worlds. The question is will Emma believe and accept her destiny? Will she fight for everyone’s happy ending?
