The Constellations 2012 Fall Tour Dates

The Constellations Do It For Free

After having spent the summer on the road as part of the Warped Tour, The Constellations will be back out on tour again beginning on October 10, 2012 in Colorado in support of Matisyahu. The Atlanta-based group will be promoting their first album from 429 Records, Do It For Free, which was produced by Andy Rose and hit stores on June 12th.

The album’s title is a reference to both the 99 Percenters and to the band’s dedication to playing live “no matter the costs or profit.” According to Elijah Jones, much of the inspiration for Do It For Free came from spending time on the road, touring. “We’ve been on the road for what seems like forever and a lot has changed musically since our first release. We’re changing what The Constellations’ sound can and will be defined as. While there was no overall concept going into the writing and recording of Do It For Free, we knew we wanted to make something that sounded a little more soulful, with more melodic songwriting and less rapping. We wanted it to be defined under one musical umbrella instead of doing all the stylistic jumps,” said Jones.
