Joshua Sasse and Timothy Omundson lead the cast of ABC’s musical comedy / adventure series Galavant. Set to debut on January 4, 2015, the new half-hour show is directed by Chris Koch.
Joshua Sasse stars as Galavant, Timothy Omundson is King Richard, Mallory Jansen plays Madalena, Vinnie Jones is Gareth, Karen David plays Isabella, and Luke Youngblood is Sid. The cast also includes Ben Presley as Jester, Darren Evans as Chef, Stanley Townsend as King of Valencia, Genevieve Allenbury as Queen of Valencia, Michal Jibson as Joustmaster, and John Stamos as Sir Jean Hamm.
The Synopsis: Screenwriter/executive producer Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Tangled, Cars) teams up with Broadway and Hollywood award-winning musical team-composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Glenn Slater (Tangled) for a comedy of epic proportions. Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant, lost the love of his life, Madalena, to the evil King Richard. Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his “happily ever after.” But it won’t be without a few twists and turns along the way.
