Power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have tied the knot during a private ceremony on August 23, 2014 in France. The couple exchanged vows at the Chateau Miraval with only a small group of family members and friends in attendance. A California judge performed the nondenominational ceremony.
Brad and Angelina’s children Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the aisle, and Vivienne and Zahara threw petals, according to a report on NBC. Knox and Shiloh handled the ring bearer duties.
Pitt and Jolie have been dating since working together on the 2005 spy thriller Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They had hoped to hold off on marriage until it was legal for everyone to marry, however, their children wanted them to make it official. Brad proposed to Angelina in 2012, even helping to design the engagement ring, but the marriage ceremony itself was kept secret until after the fact.
Pitt was previously married to Jennifer Aniston. Jolie was married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
