The final two episodes of season four of Glee will have to go forward without Cory Monteith. The actor who plays Finn Hudson on the Fox series has voluntarily checked into rehab for help with substance addiction problems. This trip to rehab marks Monteith’s second stint in a treatment facility. The 30 year old Monteith also sought help for his problems when he was 19.
And while Gleeks were immediately worried this could spark the end of Monteith as a member of the cast, 20th Century Fox representatives issued a statement supporting Monteith in his determination to heal. “Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment. Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return.”
In addition to Glee, Monteith’s credits include Monte Carlo, The Invisible, and Final Destination 3.
