Demi Lovato talks to MTV working on Unbroken and shares mental health tips with her fans. “I had a real lot of fun working on the album, going to Miami to record and just you know making the music in general. It was a blast for me.”

Lovato had some important advice for fans – or anyone – going through a rough time. “I would definitely say to speak out about what issues you have. You know definitely don’t be afraid to speak up and tell people about your issues because that’s the first step in getting help is admitting that you have a problem and being able to go see someone to get help for it,” offered Lovato.

In the 2011 interview with MTV, Lovato also shared that she’s very passionate about putting a stop to bullying. “Anytime I can get a chance to talk about my experience with it and share the effects that I had on me. I definitely want to raise the awareness about it.”
