Larry Hagman Passes Away at 81

Larry Hagman, best known to generations of TV viewers as J.R. Ewing in Dallas, has died at the age of 81. Dallas Morning News is reporting Hagman passed away on November 23, 2012 at the Medical Center Dallas Hospital “from complications of his recent battle with cancer.”
 
DallasNews.com received the following statement from Larry Hagman’s family:
 
“Larry was back in his beloved Dallas, re-enacting the iconic role he loved most. […]Larry’s family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones. It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for. The family requests privacy at this time.”
