Russell Brand and Katy Perry File for Divorce

And another celebrity relationship bites the dust… 36 year old British funny man/actor Russell Brand and 27 year old Grammy-nominated singer/sometimes actress Katy Perry have filed for divorce. The couple wed in India on October 23, 2010, with reports just surfacing over the 2011 holidays that the marriage was in trouble.
 
Brand was recently spotted without his wedding ring, and TMZ reports the couple spent the Christmas holidays apart.
 
In a statement issued to the AP, comedian Brand confirmed the rumors, stating, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”
 

Divorce papers were filed in LA citing the ever-popular ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the end of their marriage.
