“It’s wonderful news,” said HFPA president Theo Kingma, announcing the two-year commitment. “They have always been our first choice as hosts and we’re delighted they are back for the next two years.”
“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” stated Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”
The Fey and Poehler-hosted 2013 Golden Globes had a total of 19.7 million viewers and was the second-highest watched Globes in nine years.
