Adam Scott Faces Haunted Irish Inn in Neon’s Eerie ‘Hokum’ Trailer

Neon’s trailer for Hokum gives off a 1408 vibe, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Severance‘s Adam Scott stars as a man who’s suddenly thrust into the paranormal world when he visits a hotel in Ireland with a connection to his parents.

The cast of writer/director Damian McCarthy’s new film also includes Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Michael Patric, Will O’Connell, Brendan Conroy, and Austin Amelio.

Neon offers this synopsis: “When novelist Ohm Bauman retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, he is consumed by tales of a witch haunting the honeymoon suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance force him to confront dark corners of his past.”

Hokum will open in theaters on May 1, 2026.
