‘Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ New Poster and Photos

Disney’s Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day may turn out to be a cute family-friendly comedy. It may earn big bucks at the box office, and it may generate rave reviews. But does it have to have such a long, unwieldly title? Yes, I realize it’s based on the bestselling book by Judith Viorst, but I’m sure fans of Viorst’s work would understand if the title was shortened a bit.

Anyway, Disney’s now showing off a new poster for AatHTNGVBD along with new photos from the comedy movie set to hit theaters on October 10, 2014. Directed by Miguel Arteta, Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner lead a cast that includes Dylan Minnette, Ed Oxenbould, Kerris Dorsey, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge, and Bella Thorne.

The Plot:

Disney’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one.
