The Chipmunks return to the big screen in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, a buddy roadtrip movie with a rodent twist. Jason Lee returns as Dave, surrogate dad to Alvin, Theodore and Simon, with Jesse McCartney, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Justin Long lending their voices to the CG characters.
Directed by Walt Becker (Wild Hogs), Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is based on characters created by Ross Bagdasarian.
20th Century Fox and New Regency will open Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip in theaters on December 23, 2015.
The Plot:
Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.
