The new teaser trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 2 introduces a bird who’s completely over the cold and is looking for an escape from his frosty surroundings. The chilly bird is so frustrated with his limited selection of frozen foods that he launches himself into the world of angry birds and green piggies.
The 2019 sequel to the 2016 animated hit features the voices of Jason Sudeikis (The Last Man on Earth), Josh Gad (the Frozen film franchise), Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live), Bill Hader (Barry), Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Eugenio Derbez (The Nutcracker and the Four Realms), Danny McBride (Vice Principals), and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones). Zach Woods (Silicon Valley), Dove Cameron (the Descendants franchise), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live), Nicki Minaj, and Brooklynn Prince (The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part) also lend their voices to animated characters.
Adventure Time‘s Thurop Van Orman directed from a screenplay by Peter Ackerman (Ice Age, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs). John Cohen produced, and Mikael Hed and Catherine Winder executive producing.
Columbia Pictures and Rovio Entertainment will be releasing The Angry Birds Movie 2 in theaters on August 16, 2019.

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
