Columbia Pictures just released a new Angry Birds Movie trailer that further sets up the relationship between the angry birds and their enemies, the green pigs. Directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, the voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Tituss Burgess, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos, Smosh, and Blake Shelton. The animated comedy is based on the popular Rovio games and will open in theaters on May 20, 2016.
The Plot:
The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Gad), and the volatile Bomb (McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
