‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Teaser Trailer and Poster Arrive: Lots of Shrinkage and Plenty of Action

Marvel’s debuted the teaser trailer and poster for the 2018 Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. The one minute and 41 second trailer features both Ant-Man and the Wasp in action, and shows Scott Lang’s just a little jealous of Wasp’s tech.

“You gave her wings?” asks Scott. “And blasters,” replies Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). “So I take it you didn’t have that tech available for me,” says Scott. “No, I did,” admits Hank.

The cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp also includes Michael Pena, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John Kamen, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Laurence Fishburne. Peyton Reed (Ant-Man, Yes Man, The Break Up, Down With Love, Bring It On) directed and Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Paul Rudd, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari wrote the screenplay.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige produced the comic book-inspired action comedy/drama. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth, and Stan Lee served as executive producers.

Marvel and Disney are targeting a July 6, 2018 theatrical release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The Plot: From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant Man and the Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
