‘Child’s Play’ New Clip Featuring Mark Hamill Voicing Chucky

The new clip from the latest addition to the Child’s Play franchise shows Andy defending himself from Chucky. The one-minute “Peekaboo” clip doesn’t show Chucky (other than his shoes), but we do get the opportunity to hear Mark Hamill voicing the serial killer doll.

The cast of the 2019 Child’s Play includes Aubrey Plaza (Legion, Parks and Recreation), Gabriel Bateman (The Dangerous Book for Boys, Lights Out), and Brian Tyree Henry (If Beale Street Could Talk, Widows). Mark Hamill (the Star Wars films) takes over as the voice of Chucky after Brad Dourif voiced the killer doll in the film franchise’s previous installments. Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) directed from a script by Tyler Burton Smith, based on characters created by Don Mancini.

Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions (It, It: Chapter Two) produced the new Child’s Play. The behind the scenes team includes cinematographer Brendan Uegama, editor Tom Elkins, production designer Dan Hermansen, costume designer Jori Woodman, and set decorator Rachel Robinson.

Orion Pictures has planned a June 21, 2019 theatrical release.

The Plot:

“A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Child’s Play follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.”
