MarVista Entertainment’s released a new poster and trailer for Consumed, the dramatic film from husband and wife filmmakers Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones. Wein and Lister-Jones co-wrote the script, Wein directs, and Lister-Jones (Life in Pieces) stars in the movie based in the world of Genetically Modified Organisms. The cast also includes Taylor Kinney (Chicago Fire), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Anthony Edwards (ER), Griffin Dunne (Dallas Buyers Club) Victor Garber (The Flash), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) and Beth Grant (The Mindy Project). Consumed will premiere on digital HD and On Demand on March 22, 2016.
The Plot: This dramatic thriller in the vein of Erin Brockovich explores the complex world of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). This is the first narrative feature film (not a documentary) to delve into these hot-button issues in an entertaining fictional landscape. The story is anchored by a working-class, single mother (Zoe Lister-Jones) on a hunt to uncover the cause of her son’s mysterious illness. Interwoven are the stories of an Organic farmer, the CEO of a biotechnology corporation (Victor Garber), and two Scientists (Anthony Edwards & Kunal Nayyar) on the verge of a major discovery.
