‘Contagion’ – Trailer, Plot, and Cast

Steven Soderbergh delves into the world of lethal viruses with the thriller Contagion. The PG-13 drama will open in theaters on September 9, 2011.

Matt Damon stars as Mitch Emhoff, Gwyneth Paltrow is Beth Emhoff, Marion Cotillard is Dr Leonora Orantes, Kate Winslet is Dr Erin Mears, Jude Law is Alan Krumwiede, and Laurence Fishburne is Dr Ellis Cheever. Chui Tien You plays Li Fai, Daria Strokous is Irina, Griffin Kane is Clark Morrow, John Hawkes is Roger, Grace Rex is Carrie Anne, Armin Rohde is Damian Leopold, and Larry Clarke is Dave.

The cast also includes Jennifer Ehle as Dr Ally Hextall, Demetri Martin is Dr David Eisenberg, and Elliott Gould is Dr Ian Sussman.

Official Synopsis: Contagion follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.
